Summary
Around the Table is the process of pedagogy and collaboration between the would-be consumer of a product and the designer and craftspeople who build the pieces of art and the tools people use everyday. The result of this endeavor was the creation of this process, not the actual pieces that were made. Locke posted an advertisement to Craig?s List to solicit collaborators?people who wanted to be involved in the process of creating their own dining room tables. Locke explores how the lines between designer, craftsman and consumer blur and these participants become facilitors and collaborators
